Here's a list of useless (mostly) kitchen gadgets.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Best-FUN-Kitchen-Gadgets/lm/15HFJZNVBHI25

A quesadilla maker? I never knew such a thing existed. You'd want to eat a LOT of quesadillas to get that!

An electric jar opener. Umm, what's wrong with just twisting the lid off with your hand?

A vacuum sealing system - to be used once and then put in the bottom drawer never to be seen again.

Great list!

A friend of mine once asked me to hunt down a tortilla holder on an overseas trip. Evidently they needed somewhere for their tortilla to rest while they were eating. They had heard such a thing existed. Anyone I asked about it - including people at a Mexican restaurant - just pointed to my hand and said thats what that is for.

That was my thought to.

Actually that looks like it would be really useful for my mum. She's got MS and finds it hard to grip anything. Cheers for posting that list - that's a birthday present sorted!

I have an electric jar opener and I find it very useful. Some jars are so difficult to open even my son struggles to open them.

The jar opener is a great tool for people with disabilities such as arthritis.  I think that is the target audience.  In my house, that is what the men are for (and garbage, lawn care, vehicle maintenance...)

Yeah, true. I was just a little surprised at first but of course an electric jar opener would be very helpful to some people.

It's amazing what they can sell to people nowadays, but not suprising this could be useful. Smiley
